MC2 for windows 10
the source code and assets for mechcommander 2 were released in 2006, so the game is actually legal to play without buying a copy. here is a way to get the game woking on windows 10:
this worked for me, however it does crash sometimes, so save regularly. the crashes don't bother me too much, as reloading the game seems to work fine to fix the issue. also my cutscenes and briefing videos didn't work (although videos within missions did), so i would suggest doing the fix this person does with the sound folder, but for the movies folder as well. i had to set it on the lowest possible resolution to run on my laptop. i don't know if the disc works on windows 10, as i have only tried it on my old laptop, but the disc isn't still being sold anyway.
